What is marketing design, and how is it different to graphic design?

The short answer is that marketing design meets the specific design requirements of marketing professionals. Here’s a more detailed answer, and a related blog post.

What service do you provide?

Our clients are marketing people. We make artwork to help them communicate their campaign messages.

All our projects are tailor-made for each client and for each brief. We don’t use off-the-shelf templates.

We’ve got lots of experience, and our clients return to us with an expectation of reliable professionalism.

How much do you charge?

Our hourly rate is £60.00. Regular clients benefit from preferential rates.

We’re happy to provide a detailed quote or a rough estimate, so let us know if you’ve got an upcoming marketing design project. You can call us on 01295 561180 or email us here.

How long does it take?

That depends on lots of things. We can be specific when we have a full brief. We can usually accommodate tight deadlines, but a higher charge rate may apply.

All work is scheduled in our project diary and we always keep our clients up-to-date on progress.

What can I expect during a project?

We’ll have a conversation with you to assess the project. Then we’ll send you a detailed quote. Once you approve the quote in writing, we’ll get to work.

We’ll send visuals and proofs as PDFs via email, and we develop the designs based on your feedback. Our quote usually covers four proofing rounds, but there’s some flexibility.

On your approval of the final proof, we’ll send you a print-ready PDF for you to forward to your print supplier.

Can you handle the printing for me?

Yes. Most of our clients source printing for themselves, but as we’ve got strong working relationships with top-quality printers, we can include print and delivery as part of the project.

What software do you use?

We use the industry-standard Adobe Creative Cloud suite, which includes InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. We have a Creative Cloud subscription, which means our software is always the latest version.

How do you accept payment?

Bank transfers or internet banking are ideal. We also accept cheques.

We ask new clients to pay 50% of the project’s value on acceptance of the quote. If we’re handling print on your behalf, our print suppliers may require full payment in advance.

On completion of the project, we’ll send you a final invoice via email, requesting payment within 30 days.

We love all our clients, but the ones who pay on time have a special place in our hearts.
